Politicians are highly criticized by the evil others believe they do. The biggest evil they are accused of is lying. The evil of lying is something that we are taught at a very early age. Though it is a little hypocritical, as most of us admit to lying every single day, we get very angry when our politicians lie to us. Presidents, governors, mayors- they all do it. But it's almost like it's worst that they do it, because they are supposed to be the high and mighty savior that will help us get our town, state, or even country back on the right track. The fact that they lie to us makes us question their integrity. It is the general perception that lying is evil, but it's even worse that these men and women use this evil for their own benefit. These politicians gain money, popularity, and most importantly, power. And they use this power to divide our country. They lie to get our vote, and they skew the other side making themselves more appealing. With two or possibly even more sides constantly doing this, it promotes the division of our people and causes some very bitter debates. They are pinning people against each other, which can be viewed as evil. Some people may not see or agree with this, but if we put it into a simple example, those people may see the evil. Say there is a group of kids playing at the park. If one purposely made all of the other kids pick on and bully just one little boy, I'm sure most would say this is evil and wrong. Is it not the same thing politicians do to their opponents?
